Orlando - Shopping complexes. The Pointe*Orlando Located at 9101 International Drive, Orlando. Opposite the Convention Center. This is Orlando's newest shopping centre and is well worth a visit either during the day or in the evening for great entertainment and eating out. You'll find some 60+ shops here which are fairly up market, including some great gift shops and the marvellous toy shop FAO Schwarz. There are a number of excellent restaurants and bars which also provide some great night-time entertainment. The centre also has a cinema complex and the Wonderworks science centre. The Pointe has a very good web site which describes in detail all the outlets and entertainment available and also a calendar of events for the coming months so I won't repeat it all here. For all the up-to-date information go to The Pointe*Orlando. Mercado Center. Located at 885 South International Drive, Orlando. FL 32819. There is also free open air entertainment nightly in the Courtyard for you to enjoy. Also here are the Guinness World Records Experience and The Titanic-Ship of Dreams exhibit. This is a very popular centre as it's located on the main tourist drag of International Drive and is close to many of the hotels there. Disney has created it's own shopping and entertainment area located within the Disney World Resort. We have details of this area within our Disney pages at Downtown Disney. Universal's City Walk. Not to be out-done by Disney, Universal have created their own shopping and entertainment complex next to their two Theme Parks. Details can be found on our pages at City Walk. Church Street Exchange & Market. These are two separate but similar areas adjacent to each other in the downtown Orlando area. This is another great place to find one-off gift and speciality shops along with some great entertainment, craft stalls and street performers. There are also some great restaurants and bars here along with a good uncrowded food court. The Exchange is part of the Church Street Station entertainment complex which is a grand three storey conversion of the old railway station with an old locomotive sitting outside.
