Attractions continued.

Kumba. This is one of the worlds best roller coasters. It starts with a 135 ft drop, then plunges you through a 110 ft diving loop. You will feel 3 full seconds of weightlessness whilst spiralling 360 degrees, and then go through the worlds largest vertical loop, at 108 ft, reaching speeds of 60 mph. You will be impressed.
Height restriction: 54 inch min.

Python. Another roller coaster which this time features a double corkscrew effect and a 70 ft drop to start you off. The Python may be a little tame compared to the likes of Kumba or Montu, but it's a good fun ride with slightly shorter queues.
Height restriction 48 inch min.

Scorpion gives you yet another roller coaster experience. This 50 mph ride features a 60 ft drop and a big 360 degree loop. A short ride though at only 2 minutes. Guaranteed to make your head spin for a while.
Height restriction: 42 inch min.

Congo River Rapids. Board one of the 12 person big yellow rafts for a white water adventure through the Congo. Experience waterfalls and rapids which will almost certainly give you a soaking. Great family fun.

Myombe Reserve. Busch have gone to great lengths to carefully recreate the natural habitat of the threatened highland gorilla's and chimpanzee's of central Africa. This walk through exhibit allows you to get close to these magnificent creatures and learn more about them.

Skyride will take you on an elevated cable car ride across the park, which will save your feet and give you a birds eye view of the surrounding attractions.

Stanley Falls. What theme park would be complete without a log flume. A family ride with a 40 ft drop at the end to ensure everyone gets soaked.

King Tut's Tomb. This interesting exhibit allows you to travel back to the 1920's and explore the tomb as it was discovered by Howard Carter. This is a realistic replica of the burial site, including the sounds and smells he would have encountered.

Tropical Gardens. Take time out from all the thrills and excitement and enjoy the relaxing atmosphere of these tropical gardens. Enjoy the colour and beauty of over 350 different exotic plants and flowers or watch the equally colourful flamingos.

Tropical Bird Gardens. Nearly 500 tropical birds are contained in these beautiful gardens, with much to entertain and occupy the whole family.

Trans-Veldt Train takes you on a journey around the park and through the Serengeti plains, making several stops in different areas.

Rhino Rally transports guests aboard an off-road adventure through the wilds of Africa, blending up-close animal encounters with an unpredictable safari competition ending in a raging river thrill ride. It includes an internationally-themed rally plaza, rally driver team characters, an off-road safari course through remote African terrain featuring five distinct animal habitats. Ending with a raging river thrill ride aboard a washed out pontoon bridge. All of this takes place aboard 16-passenger free-driving vehicles manufactured by Land Rover. rhino2.jpg (11059 bytes)

Some of the animals you'll encounter are Asian elephants, cape buffalo, white rhinoceros, alligators, antelope, zebra, warthogs, gazelle, wildebeest, flamingos and hundreds of hoofed animals. The ride lasts for approx 8 minutes and is located on a 16-acre section of the western portion of the Serengeti Plain

These are the main attractions in Busch Gardens but there is also a great deal more on offer. There's lots of additional shows and entertainment throughout the day, and you should check your park schedule to see what's on and when.

There are lots of interesting shops and good eating available and if you visit the Hospitality House you can get a free tasting of Anheuser-Busch products (beer) and learn all about the brewery.
