Sea World Adventure Park

Location: 7007 SeaWorld Drive, off Central Florida Parkway. Use junction 27A and 28 off I4.

Sea World has always been a favourite of mine and recently it has undergone quite a dramatic and successful development program, making it even better. It's owners, Anheuser-Busch have made some big changes and re-branded Sea World as an Adventure Park.

This 200+ acre park is strong on both fun and education. Bringing you into close proximity to some wonderful creatures, along with a powerful conservation message, while at the same time providing great entertainment, and now thrill rides as well, makes this a great place to visit.

Before we take a look at the parks main attraction there are a couple of other features which you may want to consider as extras.
There are 3 one hour long behind the scenes tours that you can go on, which are very interesting. These should be booked as soon as you get in the park.

The Polar Expedition tour gives you a close up look at the penguin and Polar Bear environments. You get to go in the cold rooms with the penguins and learn about how they are cared for, and you also get to see the Polar Bears close up and learn how dangerous these animals can be.

To the Rescue shows you how the park's animal rescue and rehabilitation program operates.

And Sharks will take you backstage of the Terrors of the Deep exhibit to learn more about these marvellous creatures and how they are looked after.

There is a charge of $6 .95 for adults and $5 .95 for children and they can be thoroughly recommended. The only drawback is the amount of time you will lose from your day to see the rest of the park.

During the day there are about nine different shows to see around the park, so you will need to look at your park schedule carefully and work out which you wish to see and when. Seaworld is a large place and the attractions are well spaced out, so you need to plan carefully otherwise you will find yourself rushing across the park to catch a particular event.

We list here the main attractions to be found in Seaworld, but there is so much more. Very good shops and great places to eat, street entertainment and shows will all add to a brilliant day out.

To end the day don't miss the Mystic Knights Show in front of the Bayside Stadium.Fireworks, lasers, fountains and special effects tell the story of the four Mystic Knights and their epic battle against a sinister sorceress. You will be impressed.
