Downtown Disney Entertainment

Downtown Disney Pleasure Island. Here's where the action is at night-time. You will find a great array of night clubs here which will entertain you and allow you to dance off your last remaining energy. There is everything here from Jazz music, Rock'n'Roll through to big name live acts appearing at the West End Stage. Then every night at midnight Pleasure Island becomes Times Square on New Years Eve. There is an entrance fee to this area in the evenings from 7pm, which then allows you access to all the clubs etc. This is included in some of the passes you can buy for Disney. Look at out Ticket information page for details. You must be 18 or older unless accompanied by a parent or guardian. Some of the clubs require you to be 21 or older to enter.

Within the Pleasure Island area you will find:-

BET Soundstage Club with the hottest Hip-Hop and R&B sounds. You must be 21 to enter.
Adventures Club lets you travel from room to exotic room as zany explorers recall outrageous tales of adventure.
Comedy Warehouse will get you laughing with some great improvised comedy.
8TRAX lets you dance away to the disco sounds of the 70's, and on Thursdays only you can experience the big hits of the 80's.

Cirque du Soleil. This is a specially created show for Walt Disney World, Called 'La Nouba', performed by the artists and acrobats of Cirque du Soleil. The show is performed twice a day, five times a week in a purpose built 1 671 seat theatre. The 90 minute show, with more than 60 performers, combines circus, dance, comedy, acrobatics and live music to produce a truly unique and spectacular show.
Although I haven't yet seen the show myself, I'm told that it is an incredible performance and worth every penny of the quite high entrance fee of around £46.
