Wide World of Sports

This is a 200 acre, state-of-the-art complex which features facilities for 32 different sports. This is a massive facility and Disney are obviously trying hard to bring top class competitors and events to area.

Some of the features here are a 7 500 seater baseball stadium, an 11 court tennis complex, a Softball quadraplex and Beach Volleyball to name but a few.

Apart from the main sporting action there are a couple of things that visitors may wish to have a go at.

The NFL Experience lets you enter the world of Pro American football. This is a simulated NFL training camp where you can engage in a number of activities to test your skills.

So if you're feeling energetic you will enjoy this experience.

If race cars are more your scene then you may want to try out the Richard Petty Driving Experience. Fancy driving a 600 horsepower stock car around the Walt Disney World Speedway. here's your chance.

You can either drive or ride as a passenger in one of the 358 cubic-inch V8 NASCAR Winston Cup Stock cars which will rocket you at 145 mph around this purpose built race track.

A number of options are available and the track is only open at certain times. You will need to book and an extra charge applies.
