The Tree of Life. Just like Cinderella's Castle in the Magic Kingdom, the incredible Tree is the icon of Animal Kingdom. The centrepiece of the park is some 14 stories high and 50 feet wide at the base. The tree canopy spreads out over 160ft wide and the roots are 170ft in diameter. There are 103 000 leaves which were all attached by hand to more than 8000 branches. The tree has been hand carved with 325 animal images representing the 'Circle of Life'.

It's Tough to be a Bug. Below the roots of the Tree of Life is a 430 seat theatre which presents another brilliant 3D film. This very funny 8 minute show has some great effects that all the family will enjoy. Highly recommended.
Queues here get longer in the afternoon but move steadily. There is a wealth of detail all around you in the queue so don't forget to have a good look around while you wait.
