Welcome to Epcot which stands for Experimental Prototype Community Of Tomorrow. The park opened in 1982 and is a vision of the future, but also a look at the world around us today.
This 260 acre park has a great deal to offer and to see all of Epcot properly you may well need two days and a comfortable pair of shoes.
There's not quite so much to keep young kids amused and adults will find this park much more educational. But there's still plenty of fun to be had.

The park is laid out in a figure of eight shape with the famous Spaceship Earth at the centre of Future World as you enter the park. Then at the top of the figure of eight you find World Showcase, a journey around 12 international pavilions.

Epcot opens at 10am allowing access to Future World.
World Showcase opens at 12am and the whole park closes at between 9pm & midnight depending on season.

Check park hours in more detail on the official WDW web site.

There are some very good restaurants in Epcot and you need to make a booking because they are very popular. There are three places called Worldkey Information Satellites where you can book and also get other info about Epcot. These are audio-visual terminals that give you access to a Disney Resort host or hostess who will be happy to advise you.

Now let's look at Epcot's areas in detail.
